It was a scary and deadly scene in Niagara Falls, New York on the evening of Thursday, August 3, 2023, when a man was shot and killed by officers from the Niagara Falls Police Department who were responding to a report of shots being fired. According to multiple reports from news agencies, officers arrived at an apartment complex in the 900 block of Niagara Ave, near 10th St in Niagara Falls where they were directed to a man who was holding a handgun in front of the complex. The 53-year-old man, whose name has not yet been released by investigators, allegedly was in an altercation with a woman on the scene before firing shots at her vehicle.
