BUFFALO, N.Y. — A week after peak fall colors were reported across the Southern Tier, leaves farther north in Buffalo and Niagara Falls reach their peak too. In the latest update of the ILOVENY Fall Foliage Map for Oct. 19 to 25, almost the entire state has reach peak fall color or is now past its peak. The only exceptions are farther downstate in the Hudson Valley, NYC and Long Island. That means peak fall colors have officially arrived in Buffalo, Niagara Falls and the Finger Lakes. Buffalo and Niagara Fall's peak color could last for about two weeks, barring no major windstorms that is.
